In Spring 2021, HCC submitted a grant to Petco Love (the philanthropic arm of the pet care corporation) to TNR up to 80% of Llano City’s community cats. Why 80%? Because when TNR percentages are that high, colonies no longer grow out of control. Llano Animal Control committed to work with us, something that really helps our efforts.

Although Petco didn’t give us enough money to reach that 80% goal, HCC is going to do our best to reach it. To do that, we need to raise the additional money from you, our loyal donors. Our spay/neuter costs average about $60 per cat, with some variation depending upon which vet we use. Because of COVID, many of the periodic spay/neuter clinics that gave us reduced prices haven’t yet started up again.

If we can make substantial headway with TNR in the City of Llano, we hope that Petco will increase its funding next year. You can help make that happen by donating towards this project. Every dollar helps!  HCC has weathered the worst of the COVID crisis thanks to our granting partners, like Petco, and YOU, our loyal donors!
