When we TNR, we often trap kittens along with the mama cat. We foster these little ones to socialize them and find them fur-ever homes as beloved pets. Although we are not a rescue, kittens in life-threatening situations often come our way, like little Bella in our lead story. This summer, probably because of all of the unseasonal rain, our little ones were more susceptible to ringworm, a skin fungus, necessitating lengthy treatments. Consequently, the kittens couldn’t be adopted out until they were larger than usual, which really lowers the rate of re-homing. Nevertheless, we’ve managed to place a record number of kittens this season. We believe that our talented fosters are to thank for taking our kittens from being frightened of humans to being little love bugs!
