Not every HCC volunteer spends hours outdoors trapping cats. Of course, we always need more cat lovers to do that critical TNR task in all our Burnet and Llano county communities. But if that’s not your thing, there are other ways to help. Check out the list and call 830-598-9883 to tell us what you can do!

  • Feed feral cat colonies in your area (we supply food)
  • Foster cats and kittens that we find in colonies. Short term, and we supply kitty condos, food, litter etc. and support
  • Help care for the animals we have for adoption in the Cottonwood Shores pet store. Once or twice a week would be very helpful
  • Knit and/or stuff and sew up our cat toys
  • Stuff and stamp envelopes for our quarterly MEWsletter
  • Serve as a trap depot in Llano, Spicewood, Horseshoe Bay, or Cottonwood Shores.
  • Distribute traps to HCC clients, show them how a trap works, and make sure the traps are returned in a timely manner
  • Drive cats from colonies to vets
  • Post adoptable cats and kittens on pet adoption websites
  • Help us apply for grants
  • Assist with accounting functions
